If you have ever been pitched into an MLM program, perhaps a friend tried to get you to come to a Tupperware party, introduced you to Amway or even Herbalife you will know how the process goes. You are approached by a current member of the MLM program that perhaps suggests they have a business opportunity. A meeting is organised, where you generally meet with two people, the person pitching, and a “senior” or “upline” member.

During this meeting they then take the opportunity to tell their story, sell the dream of the financial potential the program presents, and introduce you to the topics. The upline or senior member will validate your sales person’s story and edify his stories. At the end of this process you will get the pitch or offer, and the two will try and close you.

The Bridge Funnel seeks to emulate this process, and present the story and offer to the prospect. Bridge Funnels are used to connect two different idea’s or preframe a landing page. With MLM you are often ultimately lead by the program’s end of funnel sales page. The Bridge Funnel allows you to frame the offer, with your own content and stories to prepare your prospect for the sale. In essence you are warming the lead and preselling them what they will be presented on the sales page.

After opting in they are taken to your Bridge page which tells your story, how you lost the weight through ketosis and the best way to get into ketosis – your offer.

The bridge page presented ketosis in a easy to understand and relatable way, and edifies its effectiveness through a personal story. This warms the lead and makes them more receptive to the final offer.

The most well known form of a home party would be a Tupperware Party. The Host either invites a group of attendees to their house, or they host the “party” one of the attendees house who gets an incentive for offering their house as a venue. This in itself is an upsell of the MLM offer itself, with party attendees learning they get free products for hosting a party themselves.

The appeal of these type of sales settings are that they are a more relaxed, friendly setting that offers a non pressurised sales setting. The host shows the goods and the attendees, often groups of friends, chat, test the products, share experiences and find value in the products.

The setting allows for the host to create an almost peer pressure situation, whereby one of the attendees makes a purchase, and gets bonuses or special offers and others buy for fear of missing out. Naturally as more begin to join in and make purchases they encourage others to buy almost creating a domino effect.

So where the Bridge Funnel offers the experience, story, and product information on a bridge page, these are shared and told by the host in the party setting. Not only are the attendees able to learn about the products, and hear of others experiences, but they also get to try and touch the tangible products.

After diving into the three lost funnels Russell explores what he defines as the Viral Loop.

The Viral Loop is the sequence of events that you must create in order to effectively sell your products effortlessly. Step 1 is the Epiphany Bridge, which russell explains as how to sell without selling. This bridge seeks to naturally bring your lead to a personal epiphany through the telling of your backstory and journey. From this epiphany your lead will move through the funnel wanting a solution, or to achieve something triggered by your story.

Step 2 then is the demo, that answers all their questions about your product. As discussed in the lost funnels, these were generally your home party or hotel meetings. In showing them a live demonstration of the product you sell not only the benefits and strengths of the products themselves. But also highlight the opportunities these product present for the lead to go and sell themselves, and how they can duplicate your system.

Step 3 is naturally a call to action, closing the sale. What will they do now. How will they take action today. You need a strong CTA in order to close your leads who have invested enough time to sit through the demo.

The final step is duplication, which is the most important part of a successful MLM.
